Program & Channel Marketing Challenges
As Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Discovery Networks, Latin America/Iberia, Stephen Friedman oversees the development and execution of marketing and communications efforts that address brand and product positioning for the region. In addition, he oversees all off-air and on-air promotional campaigns, competitive analysis and the development and launch of effective sales tools for Discovery's six 24-hour networks: Discovery Channel, Discovery Kids, Discovery Health, Discovery Travel & Adventure, Animal Planet and People + Arts, the latter two a joint venture between Discovery Communications and BBC Worldwide Ltd.
Prior to joining Discovery Networks, Latin America/Iberia, Friedman spent 12 years at Twentieth Century Fox Television in Los Angeles, most recently as Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Planning. Previously, Friedman served as a Marketing Research Analyst at Universal Television.
Friedman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History, magna cum laude, from the University of Rochester in New York.
