Al Ovadia, EVP of Sony Pictures Consumer Products (SPCP), spearheads the creative services, marketing, product development, publicity, retail promotion and sales initiatives for the division of Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) that supervises worldwide film and television licensing and merchandising. During his tenure at SPCP, Mr. Ovadia has been responsible for the merchandising and branding efforts for some of the most recognized properties in film and television, including, along with partner Marvel Enterprises, Spider-Man, both film an animated series, and the highly anticipated anime TV series, Astro Boy, among others.

Mr. Ovadia also spent eight years as President of Fox Licensing and was instrumental in the launch of The Simpsons as a licensing phenomenon.

A 25-year veteran of the marketing, promotions and licensing industry, Mr. Ovadia has held a number of senior executive positions with the NBC Television Network, Equity Marketing and News America.
