Dea Connick Perez is currently the vice president of programming and operations at Discovery Kids, which broadcasts on NBC, TLC and the Discovery Kids Channel. She has over twenty years of experience in radio, television and media, the majority served in the kids business. Beginning with a long tenure at Nickelodeon/Nick-at-Nite/TV Land in programming and acquisitions, Perez transitioned to Cartoon Network in 1997, where she worked for five years before coming to Discovery Kids. Perez attended the College of Mt. St. Vincent, and lives and plays in New York area with her husband, Dominique and her daughter Gemma.
