Bruce Steinberg
Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Fox Kids Europe
Keynote Panel: State of the Kid Nation

Bruce Steinberg was appointed Chief Executive Officer, Fox Kids Europe N.V. in December 2002. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading the continued growth of all of Fox Kids Europe N.V.'s businesses, including Fox Kids Europe N.V.'s channels - which currently reach approximately 34 million households in 57 countries, programme distribution, online & interactive and consumer products divisions.

Mr. Steinberg has been a leading figure in the multi-channel TV industry for over 15 years. He previously worked for BSkyB, first as Head of Movies and Pay-Per-View, then as General Manager, Broadcasting, with oversight of all of Sky Network's entertainment channels, including Sky One, Sky Movies, Sky News as well as Sky Box Office the pay per view business. Additionally, he was responsible for channel distribution and the management of BSkyB's shareholdings in the joint venture channels, including Nickelodeon UK, National Geographic Europe, QVC, Music Choice Europe and the Paramount Comedy Channel.

Mr. Steinberg was the first Chief Executive Officer of UK Gold and UK Living TV from their launch, between 1992 and 97; Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales and New Business Development for MTV Europe from 1989 to 1992; and Vice President, Sales and Planning for MTV Networks (MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick-at-Nite and VH-1) between 1985 and 1988.

A graduate of Columbia University, Mr. Steinberg also holds a B.A. in English Literature from Cambridge University and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School. He received two poetry awards while an undergraduate: The Academy of American Poets Award and The Cornell Woolrich Fellowship for Creative Writing Award. Mr. Steinberg lives in London with his family and is a keen photographer.
