Robert Traub
VP, Nickelodeon
Beyond TRU & Walmart: Alternative Retail Channels

Robert Traub is Vice President, Retail Development for Nickelodeon, the number one entertainment brand for kids and cable television's highest rated network.

In his role, Mr. Traub is responsible for maximizing Nickelodeon consumer product presence at retail through the development of programs and strategies designed to increase distribution, sell-in, and sell-through in all retail classes of trade. He also manages all retail marketing and sales aspects of Nickelodeon's consumer retail business including retail and partner communication, trade and consumer advertising, national and retail specific promotions, and on/off air strategic partnerships.

He is the direct sales and marketing contact with all major US retailers including Wal-Mart, Kmart, Target, Sears, Kohl's, Mervyn's, Toys R Us, KB Toys, Spencer, Hot Topic, FAO Schwarz, Zany Brainy, May Company, Blockbuster, and Payless ShoeSource, as well as manufacturers Mattel, Paramount Home Video, American Greetings, Hallmark, Johnson & Johnson, Simon & Schuster, Nabisco, THQ, and Kids Headquarters. Mr. Traub has also designed and executed several highly successful retail promotions including Wal-Mart's largest retailtainment event to date, Sears most successful product launch to date, and one of Target's most successful licensed promotions ever.

Prior to his role at Nickelodeon, Mr. Traub was Director of Marketing/Sales at Marvel Entertainment Group where he developed and executed all specialty market sales and marketing programs. Preceding that position, Mr. Traub spent several years at Nestle Frozen Food Company where he oversaw all aspects of sales, promotion, space management, merchandising, budgeting, and forecasting for New York and Philadelphia distributors and retail chains.

Mr. Traub received a B.S. from Penn State University. He lives in Englewood, New Jersey with his wife and two daughters.
