Tom van Waveren has been active in animation since 1996.
He gained his first experience in this field while working as a sales executive for Nelvana and quickly moving to the position of Managing Director of its London office. In this role he worked on projects such as BOB AND MARGARET, NED'S NEWT, PIPPI LONGSTOCKING and REDWALL.
Subsequently, he moved to Copenhagen to head up Egmont Imagination as its President. At Egmont Imagination he executive produced over 100 hours of animation/youth programming over a period of 4 years, including LIZZIE MCGUIRE, REX THE RUNT, PAZ, TRACEY MCBEAN, THE FAIRYTALER and HAMILTON MATTRESS.
Tom has set up his own company Hoek, Line & Thinker in September 2004, within which he is developing tv series and feature film projects. Hoek, Line & Thinker is currently in production on SKUNK FU!, a 52 x 13' animation series which was created by Cartoon Saloon in Ireland and presented at Cartoon Forum 2003. It will launch in 2007 on TG4, BBC, Super RTL, SVT, RTBF, S4C and Canal J.
